The British Council Study UK Alumni Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of international alumni who studied at UK universities. There are three award categories: Professional Achievement Award, Entrepreneurial Award, and Social Impact Award. Our 2015/2016 Chevening Scholars have returned home after spending a year in the UK during which they studied hard, built their networks, and became acquainted with British culture. British Embassies and High Commissions all over the world celebrated their return by throwing welcome home events. It is here that our newest cohort of Chevening Alumni receive their Chevening completion certificates, become inducted into the alumni community at home, and showcase all they learnt in the UK. The Chevening Relay has begun again, the aim of which is to encourage Cheveners to collaborate, network, be creative and take collective responsibility for a common goal. Whilst scholars are on their award, they are also encouraged to travel around and visit the cultural and natural wonders on offer here in the UK. The Chevening Relay is a great way for our scholars to visit new and exciting cities other than their own.   Read more

Ten of our 2015/2016 Chevening Scholars have been selected to represent this year's cohort as Social Media Ambassadors (SMAs). More than 50 scholars applied to be part of the programme, and after assessing all of their applications, the Secretariat is delighted to announce the ten who stood out from the crowd. Read more

Shortly after finishing her degree at Brunel University, Indonesian alumna Ulung Putri Ambang Panglima was commissioned by Kompas TV to write and produce a documentary focused on the endangered orangutans of Indonesia. Read more
