Applications for Chevening Scholarships to study in the UK are open between 6 August and 6 November 2018, with applications to be submitted via www.chevening.org/apply.Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals with demonstrable leadership potential who also have strong academic backgrounds. The scholarship offers full financial support to study for any eligible master’s degree at any UK university whilst also giving access to a wide range of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences. The British Library together with Chevening held its’ Chevening Explores: The Great War and World Literature event on 23 May at the British Library with a talk by Dr Santanu Das. The event was also an opportunity to showcase the research of Chevening Fellow, Partha Bhaumik during his 2017/2018 British Library Fellowship.  Read more

Seventy Chevening Fellows from seven countries and eight different fellowship programmes were brought together for a special networking reception and dinner on the banks of the River Thames. With experts from across professional sectors and countries all convened in the same space, the evening provided a unique opportunity for fellows to form new relationships and solidify already burgeoning ones. The British Library and the Chevening Secretariat held an event at the British Library’s Knowledge Centre as an opportunity to showcase the research of the first ever Chevening British Library Fellows, Oluwaseun Obasola and Junaid-ul-Hassan. The event was also an opportunity to welcome the new 2017/2018 fellow, Partha Bhaumik. Read more

Financial Services fellows at King's College London

The first eight Chevening Standard Chartered Financial Services Fellows were welcomed to the UK at a reception held at their host institution, King’s College London (KCL). The fellowship, which is open to mid-career Indian professionals with a background in finance, seeks to builds expertise in areas such as risk management, actuarial sciences, investment management, and financial regulation. In doing so, it aims to promote cross-border cooperation between India and the UK by sharing best practices and developing a mutual appreciation of regulatory systems. Read more
