Chevening and CK Hutchison
For the past 12 years, CK Hutchison has donated over GBP 6.5 million to the programme, sponsoring more than 710 scholars from Hong Kong and mainland China to study in the UK.
Hutchison says: ‘The Chevening programme helps enrich our CSR programme, particularly in the area of education. We give back to the community in a number of ways. The Group’s support to Chevening means young people in Hong Kong and mainland China can access one of the best education opportunities in the world, as well as a chance to experience all the history, heritage, scenery, art, culture, and sport that Britain offers to broaden their horizons.’
Frankie Tam, a 2010 Hutchison Chevening Scholar added: 'Hutchison’s sponsorship of the Chevening Scholarship is particularly meaningful... From my personal encounter with the UK Parliamentary members, I felt the sense of respect they have for the scholarship programme and the prestige of being a Chevening/CK Hutchison Scholar.'
