Chevening’s first virtual festival is getting closer! A celebration for the Class of 2020, it will be an event full of networking, inspiring speeches, and plenty of opportunity – we couldn’t be more excited.

We are thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker for ‘Summer Connect: Chevener for Life’ will be Alicia Herbert, the Director for Education, Gender, Equality and Special Envoy on Gender Equality at the FCDO.

Alicia Herbert, OBE, has more than 20 years’ experience in international development. She has worked with a huge range of organisations including multilaterals, academia and since 1999, the Department for International Development (DFID) now, the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) She has previously held the post of Head of DFID Mozambique. Her extensive experience in her field – in Sub Saharan Africa as well as Asia – including in fragile countries, makes her the perfect keynote speaker for ‘Summer Connect: Chevener for Life’.
