The Public-Private Partnership Center of the Philippines (PPP Center) has appointed Chevening Alumnus Andre Palacios as its new Executive Director.

Andre, who studied LLM International Law at University College London through a Chevening Scholarship in 2004, has been working as a technical advisor to the PPP Center since 2015, and will take up the new role from 8 March.

The Public-Private Partnerships programme provides strategy for national development in the Philippines, aimed at accelerating infrastructure and other development services in order to sustain national economic growth.

The PPP Center is the main driver of  the programme, and serves as the central coordinating and monitoring agency for all PPP projects in the Philippines.

Before joining the PPP Center, Andre worked at the World Bank in Washington, DC, and at the Philippine mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva.

Cosette Canilao, the outgoing executive director, was pleased with the appointment of her successor: ‘Atty Palacios is highly reliable with unquestionable integrity. He has a very strong working relationship with the PPP Center officials and staff.’
