There has never been a better time to apply for a Chevening Award. The Chevening team in Kenya are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who wish to study Public Policy and Governance, International Law, Energy/Environment, Human Rights and Journalism.

To support candidates with completing an application, the Chevening team in Nairobi will hold an Open Day.

Date: 13 October 2014
Time: 09:30 – 11:30
Venue: British Council, Upper Hill Road, Nairobi, Kenya

The Open Day is the perfect opportunity for all interested applicants to ask questions about the Chevening Awards and to meet with past Chevening Alumni and learn more about their experiences since their return to Kenya.

Reflecting on the Chevening programme during the Kenyan pre-departure event, British High Commissioner to Kenya Dr Christian Turner said:

‘What I find especially pleasing is that increasingly Kenyan students in Britain are pursuing courses of relevance to the development of Kenya, bringing their new skills and knowledge back to Kenya to contribute to the growth of this wonderful country.’

To confirm your attendance for the Open Day, please email rsvp.nairobi@fco.gov.uk by Thursday 9 October 2014.

Applicants should read the online guidance and be able to demonstrate how they meet the Chevening selection criteria before attending the Open Day and submitting an application. Further details are available at www.chevening.org/apply.
