Ten of our 2015/2016 Chevening Scholars have been selected to represent this year’s cohort as Social Media Ambassadors (SMAs).

More than 50 scholars applied to be part of the programme, and after assessing all of their applications, the Secretariat is delighted to announce the ten who stood out from the crowd.

Chevening SMAs showcase what it’s like to be a Chevening Scholar by attending events and documenting their journey during their year in the UK. Typically, they fully immerse themselves in the Chevening experience and share various aspects of their life, including studying, travelling, cultural experiences and exclusive networking. They are also responsible for facilitating greater interaction and generating interest from the Chevening cohort and communities around the world.

Leading the project on behalf of Chevening is Programme Officer Catriona Macarthur: ‘We were very impressed with the number and quality of applications that we received from scholars across the globe. It made it very difficult to choose only ten candidates but we are happy with our choices and excited to work with the selected group over the upcoming year. Roll on orientation!’
