The Chevening English language requirement was removed in 2020. Candidates will still need to meet all requirements from their chosen university and secure an unconditional offer from one of their three course choices by the deadline.

Yes, you can apply to Chevening using a deferred university offer, as long as the university offer is for a Chevening eligible course. You will still need to identify three university courses in your Chevening application, and you must receive an unconditional offer from one of these courses by the deadline.
You have three attempts to complete the eligibility questionnaire in the online application system. If you are unsuccessful after your third attempt, we recommend you apply again next year. Find out more about eligibility for Chevening.
