For Chevening Fellow Dr Sreedevi Devireddy, leadership isn’t just about awards or titles, it’s about the people whose lives you change and the communities you strengthen.
Over 25 years ago, Dr. Sreedevi Devireddy began her career with a simple belief: when opportunities are shared, transformation happens. She didn’t just want to build her own career, she wanted to create spaces where others could grow, innovate, and succeed. This vision has guided her work across corporate roles, universities, policy platforms, and rural communities.
In 2018, this vision helped her to secure a Chevening Research, Science and Innovation Leadership Fellowship (CRISP). During her time at the University of Oxford, she discovered new ways of thinking about innovation and leadership. She returned to India inspired and even more determined to create meaningful impact and strengthen connections between India and the UK.
For Dr. Sreedevi, entrepreneurship is more than starting a business, it’s a way to create meaningful change. That’s why for over a decade after returning home from studying in the UK with a Chevening Fellowship, she has mentored all types of innovators: women-led ventures, youth entrepreneurs, first-generation founders, and small enterprises. She has helped guide them through challenges and her advice combines practical strategy with empathy, helping businesses to not just succeed, but thrive.
Her dedication earned national recognition when the Government of India awarded her the National Entrepreneurship Award for helping countless enterprises become sustainable ventures.
One of her most impactful projects was in rural Warangal. As founding CEO of SRiX – SR Innovation Exchange, a government-backed incubator, she created an innovation hub that has nurtured over 1,000 innovators and reached more than 26,000 students in just four years. Her work proves that with the right support, innovation can flourish anywhere.
Today, Dr. Sreedevi helps shape the future of technology as part of the leadership team at ASIP Technologies, an advanced semiconductor company. She also became the first woman Chairperson of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where she continues to champion inclusive growth and cross-border collaboration.
Yet, despite all her achievements, the role she cherishes most is motherhood. For Dr. Sreedevi, being a mother is the ultimate source of joy, grounding her leadership in empathy, care, and purpose.
In the end, her leadership is not defined solely by institutions built or awards received, but by lives touched, entrepreneurs empowered, ecosystems strengthened, and children loved unconditionally. Success, as she demonstrates, is measured not only in milestones, but in meaning.
