Learn how to edit and create Wikipedia pages at the Wellcome Library!

Wikipedia is the fifth most visited site in the world with 1.5 million biographies in English, yet many groups are still under represented on the website. By teaching people how to edit Wikipedia, the Wellcome Trust aims to address the balance and representation across this platform.

Enjoy a tour of the library and learn about the resources available to you. You will then be taught about some of the research on gaps in Wikipedia, and why editing can be useful for researchers. Then you’ll get hands-on and learn how to edit and create a brand new one. Scholars would need to bring their own laptops or tablets (ideally with keyboard if they choose tablets).
