Placement

Before confirming a Chevening Scholarship, we need universities to share information about the courses their applicants have chosen. This year, all details will be submitted through our new online system, ASAMS. Read on to find out more.

The information universities provide helps us determine scholarship dates, costs, and ultimately confirm scholarship awards for applicants to your university. This year, we’re introducing the applicant management system, ASAMS, a new online platform where universities can submit this information. Below is guidance on how to use ASAMS for the placement process.

Why the new system?

  • It speeds up the scholar placement process
  • It’s user-friendly for both applicants and UK universities
  • It meets the FCDO data management requirements

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Log in to ASAMS to access placement forms that need to be completed. One university contact can have login access to ASAMS at any one time.
  2. If you need help gathering information, please download the template below and share it with relevant colleagues.
  3. Collect the information and update the placement forms in ASAMS.
