Royal Holloway, University of London

At Royal Holloway, you’ll join a community of forward-thinkers and game-changers, passionate about making a difference.

We have a proud history of being at the forefront of social change, and today, as a university of social purpose, we’re responding to global needs and challenges by building on our incredible platform of outstanding research, education and civic and global engagement.

Royal Holloway was opened in 1886 by Queen Victoria, and was one of the first UK universities for women. We now have two locations: A close-knit community campus in Surrey, just outside London, and a vibrant base in Bloomsbury, in the heart of central London. Our courses cover arts, business, humanities, law and sciences, and we take a cross-disciplinary approach to broaden our teaching. We also cultivate partnerships that link us with local and global industries and culture and infuse our courses with real-world insight.

Our taught and research Masters courses are designed with students in mind and are shaped by the core professional skills and industry-specific knowledge you need to thrive in the future, all complemented by our dedicated careers service, which will support you while you study with us and for two years after you graduate.

We consistently rank among the UK’s leading universities for both teaching and research, with 88% of our research rated as world-leading or internationally excellent in the latest REF (2021), putting us in the top 25% of UK universities overall, while many of our departments were ranked in the top 5 in the UK for the quality of their research outputs. You’ll work alongside world-leading academics who are passionate about making real change and developing the researchers of the future. Your Masters degree will give you the confidence and experience to make your mark.
