Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise

The Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise (SA) is a confederation of business associations in all sectors of the Icelandic economy.

The Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise (SA) will be supporting one Chevening Award for the upcoming academic year for an applicant from Iceland, in order to study any subject that will benefit Icelandic businesses.

The Confederation would like to support Icelandic students to seek first class postgraduate degrees abroad, and Chevening is a perfect programme for that.

Our role includes negotiations of collective agreements with unions on wages and working conditions, advocating for an internationally competitive legal and regulatory environment, and the interpretation and communication of decisions by governmental authorities that directly affect the business environment.

SA and its member associations include about 2,000 businesses. The organisation accounts for about 70% of all salaried employees in the Icelandic labour market. This wide representation puts SA in a strong position as the voice of Icelandic business. SA is a member of BusinessEurope.
