Tell us a bit about your experience studying at the University of Leeds.

I have gained so much from studying at the University of Leeds.

I’ve experienced top quality teaching. The University of Leeds is a Russell Group university with a reputation for world-class teaching. I’ve gained new knowledge, skills, and insights into British systems that will be invaluable for furthering my career when I return home.

I’ve also made many long-lasting friendships with people from all over the world!

Finally, the UK is beautiful and peaceful. I love the architecture, parks, and culture. I think that’s what I’ll miss the most about studying here.

Is there anything you think future Chevening Scholars should know about studying here?

The top three things I think future Chevening Scholars should know are:

1. There are Chinese restaurants and Chinese shops, so don’t worry about not being able to buy your daily essentials if you come from China.
2. The libraries have many useful resources, make the most of them!
3. The Student Practice is convenient for you to see a doctor if you need to. It’s free of charge, but if you need medicine, you’ll need to pay a small charge.

Tell us about your plans for the future, how do you intend to use the skills, knowledge, and networks you’ve gained from studying at the University of Leeds in future?

I’m grateful to have experienced studying at the University of Leeds.

With the new knowledge and skills I’ve mastered, I aim to improve China’s financial regulatory system, to help enhance the economic relationship between China and the UK.

I truly value the networks I have gained and will devote myself to making a contribution to Chevening.
