Who covers the cost of attending the interview?
Applicants are expected to cover the full costs of attending the interview including travel and overnight accommodation if necessary.
I have received an invitation to interview for a Chevening Scholarship/Chevening Fellowship. When do I need to book my interview?
Interview slots are available on a first-come-first-served basis. We therefore suggest you book your interview as soon as possible.

Will I be notified if I am not selected for Chevening after my interview?
Yes. All scholarship candidates will be notified about the outcome of their interview from early June. Fellowship candidates can find out more information about when they will receive interview results by checking the fellowship timeline that is relevant to their chosen programme.

What documents do I need to take with me to my interview?
You will need to take your passport or another form of ID. In your invitation to interview, you will be told whether you have any missing references that you should also bring to your interview in addition to your passport.
I can’t find my preferred university and/or course in the list of options on the online application form. What should I do?
Please make sure the course you are looking for meets our eligibility requirements. If you’re sure the course meets our eligibility requirements and you still can’t find it in the database, please complete this form.
I have received an offer from a university, but I have not yet been selected for Chevening. Should I accept?
Yes, accept the offer made to you by your chosen university unless it requires a financial commitment. You must be able to withdraw at a later date if you are not selected for Chevening.
