Saïd Foundation
Study in the UK with the support of a Chevening Scholarship from Saïd Foundation.
Founded in 1984, the Saïd Foundation scholarship programme aims to empower people through education opportunities and, in doing so, support development of the Middle East. Scholarships are targeted towards outstanding individuals who demonstrate the potential to become leaders and changemakers.
Who do they sponsor?
Saïd Foundation sponsors 12 Chevening Scholarships for applicants from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine.
To be considered for these awards, you can choose to study any Chevening-eligible course. However, preference will be given to those who choose to study at one of Saïd Foundation’s partner universities*. Please refer to the Saïd Foundation website for a list.
*Applicants may be considered for non-Saïd partner universities if the proposed course is not offered by a partner university.
Additional things to note:
- You will need to demonstrate how your chosen course will help you to contribute to the development of the region.
- You will need to apply separately to both awards (Chevening and the Said Foundation).
How to apply
If you’re interested in studying in the UK with a fully funded Saïd Foundation Chevening Scholarship, our application guidance takes you through everything you need to know.
As stated above, for this particular award, you will also need to apply directly with the Said Foundation.
Please note: If you meet the criteria for a partner-funded Chevening Scholarship, you will automatically be considered for it. You don’t need to do anything differently, or take any additional steps, when submitting your Chevening application.
