University partners are UK higher education institutions that waive their tuition fees for an agreed number of Chevening scholars to study with them. 

In return, they receive high quality international student applications, assessed and recommended by our independent reading committees, and promotion on our channels. 

Our Chevening partnership brings exceptional scholars to the University of Leeds. By partnering with Chevening, we are able to increase knowledge and opportunity for international scholars, who are then able to take this knowledge back to their own country and act as worldwide ambassadors for the UK and the University of Leeds.

Corporate partners are organisations, philanthropic foundations, or government/public sector bodies who support Chevening scholars in one of three ways: 

• Providing full or partial funding for scholars to complete their master’s in the UK 
• Partnering with us to fill places in separate scholarship programmes they offer 
• Hosting internships to enrich scholars’ experience in the UK
