Chevening Fellowships in Pakistan

Chevening Fellowships are awarded to talented mid-career professionals who have already demonstrated their capacity to lead and influence. Chevening Fellows are active in their field or subject and are looking to further enhance and expand their knowledge, skills, and expertise by spending time in the UK on a fully-funded short course or research project.

The following fellowships are currently closed for applications:

  • Chevening OCIS Fellowship 
  • Chevening South Asia Journalism Fellowship

How to apply

Applications for Chevening Fellowships can be submitted using the Chevening online application system, available through the 'apply' button on this page.

Prior to starting your application for a Chevening Fellowship please ensure you have the following ready:

Essential:

  • Two references to be provided in a letter format and written in English
  • Valid passport/national ID card
  • University transcripts (undergraduate, postgraduate)

Please note that only documents in PDF format can be uploaded and documents cannot be over 5MB in size.

Optional:

  • English language (if already met the requirements) 

You can submit your initial application without the optional document and upload them to your application at a later date.

What is included?

Each fellowship award includes the following:

  • Full programme fees
  • Living expenses for the duration of the Fellowship
  • Return economy flight from Pakistan to the UK

Indian and Pakistani scholars play cricket
In the spirit of building understanding through sport, Cheveners from India and Pakistan worked together to arrange a cricket match in July. Inspired by their national teams playing each other in the ICC Champions Trophy, the scholars swapped their books for their bats to participate in a symbolic cricket match. Scholars from Pakistan and India, who were studying all over the UK, independently scheduled, organised, and funded the event, which took place in July in London's iconic Regent's Park. Read more

The British Embassy Reykjavik and GAMMA Capital Management have signed a two-year agreement to offer Chevening Scholarships in Iceland for students intending to study finance-related subjects. Read more

Last month, the Chevening Brunei Association hosted the Brunei Chevening Youth Forum 2017 at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) to provide a platform for youth to discuss emerging creative industries and their impact on the economy. The topics discussed include unravelling the creative industry, commercialising creativity, and the creative industry ecosystem exploring three areas – industry collaboration, standards, and community development. 1,700 Chevening Scholars were formally welcomed to the UK at Chevening Orientation, our inspiring inaugural scholarship event held at ExCeL London on Saturday, 21 October. Orientation marks the start of their year studying at universities up and down the country and is one of only two times in the academic year that all scholars will be in the same place at the same time.
