Chevening's impact

Cheveners across the world are committed to using the knowledge, skills, and networks they gain in the UK to drive innovation and help build a more sustainable, equal, and connected world.

Since 1983, Chevening has brought exceptional individuals from around the world to study in the UK. After returning to their home countries, Chevening Alumni have gone on to lead and make an impact on the world in a huge variety of ways.

Among our alumni community we are proud to have presidents and climate activists, healthcare professionals and women’s rights advocates, conflict resolution and development experts. We are delighted to share some of their extraordinary stories on this page through our impact reports and through the work of our scholars and alumni focused on three main areas: tackling climate change, challenging inequality, and embracing science & technology.
