At a stimulating three-day forum, hosted by Wilton Park, Chevening Scholars joined forces with academics, campaigners, and Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) staff to brainstorm key issues relating to Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB). The aim of the forum, which took place from 5-7 December in the inspiring historical surroundings of Wiston House, was to share best practice from around the world and generate innovative ideas around how education can be harnessed as a tool to promote and protect FoRB. On Saturday, 3 November, Chevening Alumni in East China celebrated 35 years of Chevening with HRH The Duke of York. The exclusive reception was held in Shanghai, where the Duke is leading the UK Delegation for the China International Import Expo (CIIE). The celebration was a unique opportunity for Chevening Alumni to share their experiences of the UK with the Duke, and to showcase the impact that Chevening has had on their lives and careers.
