North Wales overnight retreat

28 Jul 2017
12:00 Friday 28 July 2017 to 18:00 Saturday 29 July 2017
Bangor University and the surrounding area, Wales

Experience Wales this summer with an overnight trip to beautiful Bangor, north Wales.

This weekend programme will involve a trip to Caernarfon Castle on the Friday afternoon, and you will learn the traditional Welsh dance, the 'twmpath', in the evening.

Find yourselves some hiking shoes, as we have a group hike organised to reach the top of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa in Welsh) on Saturday, the highest mountain in Wales and England. Don’t miss out on an immersive weekend which you will never forget.

This event is in collaboration with Bangor University (fourth in Britain according to the WhatUni Student Choice Awards (April 2016) and is among the top 15 in the UK (of the UK’s best non-specialist universities).

University accommodation is included on the Friday night, and you will have the option of staying another night on Saturday at a reduced cost. This event is balloted, so registrants will be emailed randomly in order to confirm their place. You will have 48 hours to check and confirm your attendance; we strongly recommend checking travel arrangements first before confirming your attendance.
