The University of Huddersfield traces its roots back to a Science and Mechanic Institute founded in 1825. Since then the university has had a rich history, officially becoming the University of Huddersfield in 1992. Today Huddersfield is recognised for its fantastic teaching reputation, having been in receipt of National Teaching Fellowships to mark Britain’s best lecturers for the past eight years. In recent years, Huddersfield has seen a lot of exciting investment in its facilities, now boasting a state of the art business school and the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre.
