Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan

BJP, Lok Sabha, Kheda, Gujarat

Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan is a Member of Parliament to the 16th Lok Sabha from Kheda constituency in Gujarat. He won the Indian general election, 2014 being a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. 

Devusinh Chauhan has worked as an engineer in All-India-Radio (1989-2002).  From 2007-2014, he served as the member of the Gujrat Legislative Assembly. Since, 2014 onwards, he has been a member of the Standing Committee on Water Resources, and member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Communications and Information technology.  

An Engineer and an Agriculturist by profession, he has a diploma in electrical engineering, received from the Government Polytechnic College in Porabander, Gujrat.

Sushmita Dev

INC, Lok Sabha, Silchar

Sushmita Dev represents the Silchar constituency of Assam in Lok Sabha. She is a lawyer by profession; runs a law-based firm in Delhi. She is the daughter of former union minister Santosh Mohan Dev and granddaughter of former Assam minister Satindra Mohan Dev.

In the Lok Sabha, she is a member of the Standing Committee on Empowerment of Women and Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment and Forests.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science honours from New Delhi's Miranda House college in 1993, she went to pursue her law studies in London. She had studied for her bachelor of law degree in Thames Valley University in London, and successfully completed the course in 1997.  Thereafter, she was enrolled in the Inns of Court School of Law for her Bar-at-Law degree in 1998, from where she was called to the bar of England and Wales in London. She also has a Master of Law degree in Corporate and Commercial Law from the Kings College in London. She is now a member of Delhi Bar Council.

Sushmita Dev, with a few of her trusted associates floated a non-governmental organization named Aashiyan in Silchar, her home town, in 2007, which is active in sanitation and the welfare of the physically challenged persons in her home district of Cachar.

Anupriya Singh Patel

Apna Dal, Lok Sabha, Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh

Anupriya Singh Patel is a member of Lok Sabha representing the constituency of Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh). She is a member and was the General Secretary of Apna Dal Party. 

Anupriya Patel is a member of the Standing Committee on Empowerment of Women; Standin Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas; Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes; and Consultative Committee on Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping. 

She was educated at the Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Amity University and Kanpur University. She has a Master’s degree in Psychology and also Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and has taught at Amity. 

She is the daughter of Late Shri Sone Lal Patel, founder of Apna Dal Party.

Kothapalli Geetha

YSRCP, Lok Sabha, Aruku, Andhra Pradesh

Kothapalli Geetha is a Member of Lok Sabha from Aruku, Andhra Pradesh. She is a member of Standing Committee on Human Resource Development, Consultative Committee, M/o Home Affairs, Coffee Board and APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority); and member of the Advisory Committee of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

She has a Master of Arts (MA), Public Administration, and Sociology from Andhra University and a B.Ed. from M.R. College of Educational, Andhra University, Vijayanagaram. 

A businessperson and social worker by profession, she has served in the government as a Deputy Collector and served in different capacities  as Sub-Collector, Special Deputy Collector (Land protection), Revenue Divisional Officer, Land acquisition officer, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Special officer in Survey and land records etc., and acquired wide knowledge in the administrative, law and state government laws and procedures. She has also served as a director on various boards in the Visweswara Group of Companies which is involved in engineering, infrastructure, trading and property development. 

Not limiting her activities just to business, she is also the Founder and Secretary of a non-profitable organization called the GEETHAS, (General Environmental Education for Tribal Health Action Society which operates in the Tribal areas of four districts namely Visakapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and East Godavari districts in Andhra Pradesh. The Organization provides educational support to the tribal children, and also concentrates on health and developmental activities, by providing free medicines and conducting health camps in the rural areas of the Tribal belt.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat

BJP, Lok Sabha, Jodhpur, Rajasthan

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat represents the Jodhpur constituency of Rajasthan in the Lok Sabha. He is presently a member of the Standing Committee on Finance; Consultative Committee on Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation; and member, Governing Council, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur. 

A Businessperson by profession, Gajendra Shekhawat is associated with a large number of organisations in Education Art and Literature, Sports and Trade Associations for promotion of handicraft and other industries. 

Gajendra Shekhawat has a Masters of Philosophy from Jai Narain Vyas University, Rajasthan.

Narsaiah Boora Goud

Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Lok Sabha, Bhongir, Telangana

Dr Narsaiah Boora Goud is belongs to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi representing the Bhongir constituency in Telangana. 

He earlier was a laparoscopic, obesity and gastrointestinal surgeon from Telangana, India. He is regarded as a pioneer of laparoscopy in India when it was confined to a few centres in the western world. He is credited with more than 20,000 laparoscopic surgeries which include both the oncology and bariatric varieties. 

He was an active proponent of Telangana statehood and was a member of Telangana Joint Action Committee.

He was born in Suryapet, Nalgonda District in Andhra Pradesh. He has done his MS (General Surgery) from Osmania Medical College, Telangana. By profession he is a medical practitioner, agriculturist, social worker, educationist and trade unionist. 

He has also published a book, titled ‘Living by Quotes’. He has been contributing to society in medical and social fields, by conduction health camps, credited with spreading awareness of Laparoscopic surgery in rural areas, spreading awareness on education and economic empowerment. He has been actively working for the political and Cultural integration of underdeveloped and backward classes. He is part of organizations such as Roy and Roy’s: Re-organize yourself and re-organize society and the B.L.R. Foundation: Quality and Affordable Health to all. 

Elected for the first time, to the 16th Lok Sabha, he is the member of the Standing Committee on Labour, Committee of Welfare on Other Backward Classes and the Consultative Committee of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Raksha Khadse

Bharaitya Janata Party, Lok Sabha, Raver, Maharashtra

Raksha Khadse is one of the youngest members of the 16th Lok Sabha. Elected for the first time, she represents the Raver constituency of Maharashtra. At the age of 27, she is one of the youngest members of parliament in the current Lok Sabha.

Presently she is a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Empowerment of Women; and the Standing Committee on External Affairs.

Raksha Khadse began her political career as the Sarpanch of Kothali. She then got elected to the local Jalgaon Zilla Parishad in 2012 and served as the Chairperson (Sabhapati) of Education, Health and Sports Committees.

 

She is the daughter-in-law of the leader of the opposition in Maharashtra, Eknath Khadse.

Renuka Butta

YSR Congress Party, Lok Sabha, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh

Renuka Butta is a Member of Parliament from Kurnool (Lok Sabha constituency), Andhra Pradesh. She won the Indian general election, 2014 being a Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party candidate.

A Business person by profession, she is the owner of the Meridian corporate school in Hyderabad. She was personally responsible for building School as its chief in the last 20 years. She is the Director of several companies, including a chain of cloth and jewellery outlets.

Currently, she is the member of the Standing Committee on Rural Development, Committee on Empowerment of women, Consultative Committee of Human Resource Development and General Body of the Central Social Welfare Board.

Pritam Gopinath Munde

BJP, Lok Sabha, Beed, Maharashtra

Dr. Pritam Gopinath Munde is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha, representing the constituency of Beed in Maharashtra. She belongs to the Bhartiya Janata Party. 

She has a M.D. in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy and was educated at Pad. Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Nerul, Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra). By profession she is a medical practitioner.

She is currently (2014 onwards) the member of the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare, Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes and Consultative Committee in Ministry of Railways.  In 2015, she became the member of the Standing Committee on Energy as well.
