In September 2016, the Chevening Officer Excellence Awards were launched in order to recognise best practice within the Chevening network. This month, twelve Chevening/Gurukul Fellows will begin the twelve-week leadership course hosted by the India Institute at King’s College London. The programme, which runs annually, is aimed at mid-career professionals who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and have already achieved a position of influence in their home countries. The Chevening Secretariat is accepting applications for 2017/2018 Chevening Scholarships and some Chevening Fellowships via www.chevening.org/apply from 8 August until 8 November 2016. Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals with demonstrable leadership potential who also have strong academic backgrounds. The scholarship offers financial support to study for a master’s degree at any UK university and the opportunity to become part of an influential global network of 46,000 alumni.  Read more

Do you want to be involved in the selection of the world's future leaders? If so, we are currently recruiting for the 2017/2018 Chevening Reading Committees. Reading committees play a vital role in the selection of Chevening Scholars and Fellows. Each committee is comprised of a regional assessor and an academic assessor, who assess applications from one or more countries from a particular region of the world. Read more

The UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office invites proposals from evaluation experts for the delivery of a short term monitoring and evaluation project for the Chevening Awards scheme. Chevening aims to bring future leaders to the UK in order to develop a positive disposition towards the UK and to align them with UK interests and values.
