Chevening soars in Azerbaijan

On 25 August 2016, 66 guests gathered at the British embassy in Baku to witness the establishment of the Chevening Alumni Association Azerbaijan (CAAA). Guests were from many sectors of society including journalists, university academics, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Narmin Rahimli, Chevening Alumna (2014) and new president of the association, led the initiative for an exclusive group for Chevening Alumni in Azerbaijan. Watch this video of the launch event, and hear about the aims of the association from Narmin:

The new association will work in cooperation with the existing UK-Azerbaijan Alumni Association, which celebrated its ten year anniversary in 2015. The first task will be to promote the 2017-2018 Chevening application round, which opened in August.
